0:00It's hard to let go of expectations.

0:05We think that life will be one way, and then it ends up being totally different.

0:13It may feel unfair.

0:18But you have to remember, God sees your story from a different perspective.

0:24While your life may not be what you want right now, you have to trust that God sees your life and your purpose from an eternal perspective.

0:41Okay, let's begin by getting comfortable.

0:47Taking a few nice, big, deep breaths.

0:55And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:05Now, take a moment to consider this verse: "They will not conquer you, for I am with you to protect and rescue you." Again, "They will not conquer you, for

1:31I am with you to protect you and rescue you." Now, bring your attention to your breath.

1:56Just a soft, easy awareness.

2:08Notice what it feels like as air passes in through the nose, and then back out through the mouth.

2:26Let the breath bring life to your body.

2:44Begin to listen to the sound of your breath.

2:52Listening to the inhale and the exhale.

3:10On the next exhale, allow the breath to relax and become natural.

3:30Allow your breath to bring renewal to your body.

3:38You're making space to notice God's presence in your life.

3:54When it feels comfortable, bring your attention to the heartbeat.

4:10Allow that rhythm and stillness to enter every part of your body.

4:28Feel the presence of God in this space.

4:34Let go of control, and rest into the arms of God.

4:56When it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths in.

5:14Really making a point to expand the body and expand the chest.

5:32Notice how the breath makes you feel.

5:46Now, let the breath begin to settle.

5:56As your breath begins to settle, allow the body to become heavy.

6:18Notice any sensations in the body.

6:23See if you're holding onto any tension.

6:32Maybe the body is tight or maybe it's not.

6:38Either is okay.

6:47You're just scanning the body, looking for any areas of tightness, and letting them release.

7:04And if the mind drifts away in thought, slowly bring it back to the feelings in the body and the breath.

7:24Your body knows how to relax.

7:35You don't have to think about it for it to happen.

7:40You are simply uncovering the calm that was always present.

8:01Let your awareness rest in the arms of God.

8:20Take this verse with you, "They will not conquer you, for I am with you to protect you and rescue you." Slowly bring your awareness back to the body, and

8:55when you feel ready, allow your eyes to open.

9:02Take a moment to notice how your body feels.

9:08I hope you feel a little better.

9:12We'll see you again tomorrow with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.

9:19Remember, be easy with yourself.
