0:00There's a saying in meditation that goes, "Wherever you go, there you are." And that's definitely true.
0:11But you could also say, "Wherever you go, there God is." He never leaves you, and His presence is always accessible to you.
0:25Remember that God can only be found in the present.
0:31Wherever you go, and whatever you go through, God is with you and He's with you today.
0:42Okay.
0:43Let's get started by allowing the body to relax.
0:50And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.
1:01Take a moment to consider this verse: When you have troubles, I am with you.
1:13When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt.
1:18When you walk through fire, you will not be burned.
1:32And again, when you have troubles, I am with you.
1:39When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt.
1:45When you walk through fire, you will not be burned.
2:06When it feels natural, let's take a nice big breath.
2:17With each breath, allow the body to become softer and more relaxed.
2:29Almost like a wave of relaxation washing over the body.
2:42The breath fills up the body, and then it gives way to that natural relaxation that's right under the surface.
3:04Now, let's turn our awareness to how the body feels.
3:15Just examining the body with an easy curiosity.
3:27Allow your shoulders to relax and fall away from the ears.
3:36Relax your arms and allow your hands to open and let go.
3:47Allow your temples and face to relax.
3:57Let the throat and the neck soften.
4:05Allow your breath to deepen as your awareness rests deeper.
4:15Just relaxing and releasing.
4:26You are here and everything is okay.
4:32God is with you.
4:46And now, for a moment or two, let go of any focus and allow yourself to simply be.
5:08Now, let's take some nice deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
5:31Just noticing and observing the breath, watching the rise and the fall of the chest.
5:57Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.
6:15Begin to notice any feelings you may have brought with you today.
6:31Thoughts are a natural part of meditation.
6:39Just leave those feelings right where they are, and then gently come back to the feeling of the breath.
6:59Long, deep inhale, then a slow controlled exhale.
7:15Allow the breath to calm the mind and relax the body.
7:33And now, allow your awareness to fall and move inward, finding that place where you feel loved.
7:57Feel that natural peace in God's presence.
8:14Remember, when you come near to God, He will come near to you.
8:35Take this verse with you: When you have troubles, I am with you.
8:46When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt.
8:52When you walk through fire, you will not be burned.
9:14Softly begin to bring your awareness back to the body, back to that feeling of weight in the body.
9:25And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take a big, deep breath in.
9:34Take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.
9:40I hope you feel a little more present.
9:44We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
9:49Take care.
