0:00The mystery of life is in the moment before you.

0:05It's not in the past or in the future.

0:10Memories and hopes are important, but they're not life.

0:17Life is only lived in the present, the eternal now.

0:26As you meditate today, allow yourself to experience this moment and let your heart open to the presence of God's love.

0:41Let's begin by loosening the shoulders and the chest.

0:49And when you feel ready, just allow the eyes to slowly close.

1:00Take a moment to consider this verse: "Look, I stand at the door and knock.

1:11If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will share a meal together as friends." And again, "Look, I stand at the door

1:33and knock.

1:34If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will share a meal together as friends." Now, slowly begin to take some deep breaths,

2:06allowing the body to open.

2:14Let the breath relax any areas of tightness in the body.

2:28Consciously, start to turn the muscles off.

2:37Start with the muscles in the feet and the legs.

2:44Allow the feet to be heavy on the floor.

2:52Allow the chest and the back to open so the breathing can become deep and natural.

3:09Soften the shoulders.

3:12Allow them to fall away from the ears.

3:23Let the head fall and become heavy at the neck.

3:34Feel the weight of the body and how it pushes you down into the chair.

3:52When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness to the sound of your breath.

4:03Not changing anything about the breath, just noticing it.

4:16Listening to the gentle rhythm of the inhales and exhales.

4:29Filling the body up with fresh air, and then slowly exhaling and letting go.

4:46Let your mind be still.

5:01Now, take a moment to be grateful for this opportunity to relax.

5:20Notice how good it feels just to be here in this moment.

5:40When it feels natural, begin to deepen the breath.

5:57Let go of your worries and focus your attention on the breath.

6:13Nothing else matters right now.

6:18You are here.

6:21There's nothing to do but relax.

6:37Allow your body to honor the natural calm given by God's presence.

6:48Just listening to the breath, noticing the rise and the fall of the chest.

7:01Deep breath in, expanding the body, and then exhale, letting your awareness rest.

7:26Take another deep breath as you feel your lungs expand.

7:36And exhale, following the air back out through the mouth.

7:49The thoughts may take you away, and that's okay.

8:06With each breath, effortlessly rest into the arms of God.

8:28Take this verse with you, "I stand at the door and knock.

8:37If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will share a meal together as friends." Slowly bring your awareness back to the body,

9:07and when you feel ready, allow your eyes to open.

9:15Take a moment to notice how your body feels.

9:21I hope you feel a little better.

9:25We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.

9:31Remember, be easy with yourself.
