0:01When you live in the present, you're recognizing that ultimately God is the one in control.
0:10Letting go isn't giving up your wants, it's trusting that you are in good hands.
0:19When you let go, you'll find peace even in the midst of a storm.
0:28Okay, let's go ahead and get started by taking a moment to notice your breath.
0:40Just the rise and the fall of the chest.
0:48And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.
1:00Now take a moment to consider this verse: "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him.
1:13I will be with him in trouble, and I will deliver him." And again, "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him.
1:36I will be with him in trouble, and I will deliver him." And now, bring your attention to the heartbeat.
2:05Allow its rhythm to relax the body.
2:17As you begin to relax, bring your attention to the weight of the body.
2:34Allow the arms and the legs to become heavy.
2:43Allow the face to soften all the way down through the neck.
2:54Soften the skin.
3:01Allow the corners of the eyes to relax.
3:11Let the shoulders fall away from the ears.
3:21Release the elbows.
3:31Let the wrists and the hands relax.
3:42Soften the chest and the stomach.
3:52Release the hips and the thighs.
4:05Relax the calves all the way down to the ankles.
4:18Allow the entire body to let go and totally relax.
4:36There is nowhere to go.
4:40You are exactly where you're supposed to be.
5:01Bring your attention to the feeling of the breath.
5:12Let it settle into a natural rhythm, effortless and easy.
5:32Notice how good it feels just to breathe.
5:49With each inhale, let your body fill up with new life.
5:59With each exhale, release and let your body relax.
6:17Feel your feet on the floor and the weight of your body in the chair.
6:34Now, gently bring your attention to your emotions.
6:45Just noticing the feelings that you brought with you today.
7:03Not engaging with the emotions.
7:08Just noticing them as an observer.
7:26Remember that you can leave those feelings right where they are.
7:42Just allow those thoughts to bubble up and out.
8:01Remember, today is a new day with new opportunities.
8:10God is working in your life.
8:26Take this verse with you, "Your promise revives me.
8:33It comforts me in all my troubles." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of the body.
8:58Notice the weight of the body on the chair.
9:02And when you feel ready, allow your eyes to open and take a nice deep breath.
9:12Notice how your breath changes the way you feel.
9:17I hope you feel a little more in touch with God.
9:23We'll see you again next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
