0:00Life has a way of draining us of our life force.
0:05We get to the end of the day, and we're just physically and emotionally spent.
0:12It's natural and normal to feel this way.
0:17Today, as you meditate, allow yourself to be renewed and rejuvenated by God's presence.
0:29Let's begin by loosening the shoulders and the chest.
0:37And when you feel ready, just allow the eyes to slowly close.
0:48Take a moment to consider this verse: "Your promise revives me, it comforts me in all my troubles." And again, "Your promise revives me, it comforts me in all my
1:17troubles." Now begin to soften the body and pay attention to the breath.
1:47Now take a deep breath until the air reaches the top of the chest, and then slowly exhale.
2:11And again, let your inhale be slow and expansive, and then exhale, following the breath back out.
2:39Allow your breath to settle and become natural.
2:55Bring your attention to any sounds in the room.
3:07Maybe the room is quiet, or maybe it's not.
3:13Both are okay.
3:21Just notice the sounds and accept them as they are.
3:37You're right where you need to be.
3:51In this moment, everything is okay.
3:56God loves you.
4:09This is a place of rest and safety.
4:22Simply let go.
4:35Gradually, and with ease, bring your awareness to rest on your breath.
4:52Feel the body rise with each inhale, and then allow your awareness to rest in a little more with each exhale.
5:23Notice how with each breath, the body feels a little calmer.
5:41Begin to notice the space around the body.
5:51Feel the contact of the body on the chair, and your feet on the floor.
6:11When you feel comfortable, begin to scan the entire body to build up a picture of what the body feels like.
6:25Piece by piece, release any areas of tension.
6:35Let go of your stress.
6:38Let go of your anxiety.
6:44You are exactly where you're meant to be.
6:57Allow that natural rhythm of the breath to relax you.
7:14Let your breath guide you to a place of safety in the presence of God.
7:44You are accepted here.
7:48You are loved.
8:03Take this verse with you: "Your promise revives me.
8:10It comforts me in all my troubles." Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the body, maybe even move your fingers and toes a little bit.
8:41When it feels natural, allow your eyes to slowly open.
8:48Take another big, deep breath in, and let it out with a sigh.
8:55Notice how you feel.
8:58I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:01We'll see you again tomorrow with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
