0:00It says in the Bible that your name is written on God's heart.
0:07That is a powerful image.
0:10You aren't just important to God, you're always on His mind and in His heart.
0:18Today, as you meditate, remember that you are loved.
0:28Okay, let's get started by allowing the body to relax.
0:38And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.
0:48Now take a moment to consider this verse: "I have loved you with a love that lasts forever." And again, "I have loved you with a love that lasts forever."
1:28Now, bring your attention to the way the body feels, just noticing any areas of tightness in the body.
1:52If it feels comfortable, take a few nice deep breaths.
2:05Allow your breath to loosen any areas of tightness in the body.
2:22With each breath, allow a sense of calm to wash over your body.
2:35Allow your body to totally release and let go.
2:52Now, bring your attention to the top of the head.
3:01Begin to soften the forehead, down the front of the face.
3:13Relax the corners of the eyes.
3:21Allow the neck to relax, and the shoulders to fall away from the ears.
3:32Relax the temples.
3:37The legs are becoming heavy.
3:47Feel the weight of the body.
3:56Let your whole body soften and release.
4:11Allow your mind to rest with the presence of God.
4:30Now, bring your awareness to the feeling of the body.
4:43Maybe there's some muscle tightness or stress lingering in the body.
4:54Slowly bring your attention to those areas of tightness and relax them piece by piece.
5:18As your body begins to relax, allow your mind to let go.
5:49Give yourself permission to start fresh.
5:59What is done, is done.
6:03All you have is this moment.
6:23This is a safe place.
6:27Release your thoughts to God.
6:43When it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths.
6:57Inhale.
6:59Feel the chest rise.
7:03And exhale.
7:06Feel the chest fall.
7:17There's no way to do this wrong.
7:29If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.
7:35When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness back to the feeling of the breath.
7:57(pause of 17 seconds) Take this verse with you: "I have loved you with a love that lasts forever." (pause of 12 seconds) When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the breath and
8:30allow your eyes to open.
8:33Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
8:43Notice how you feel.
8:48I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
8:52We'll see you again tomorrow with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
