0:00When we meditate, we're creating a sanctuary of silence, a special place where we can encounter the one true God.

0:13Only silence can reveal what was always there.

0:19As you meditate today, be mindful to rest into the silence.

0:28Okay, let's go ahead and get started by taking a moment to notice your breath, just the rise and the fall of the chest, and when you're ready, let your

0:51eyes close like the sun sets.

1:00Now take a moment to consider this verse: You know the Spirit who is with you and will keep on living in you.

1:20And again, you know the Spirit who is with you and will keep on living in you.

1:43Now consciously begin to relax your muscles.

1:56Feel the weight of gravity on your body as the chair holds you up.

2:15Begin to notice how the body feels, just scanning the body from the head down to the toes, consciously relaxing any areas of tightness or tension.

2:58Take a few big deep breaths in.

3:08Notice how the breath changes the body, just relaxing and releasing, allowing your body to totally let go.

3:37If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

3:43Thoughts are a normal part of meditation.

3:48You aren't holding on to the thoughts or the feelings, you're just allowing them to bubble up and out.

4:03You're releasing those thoughts to God.

4:18Now, for a moment or two, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

4:44Bring your attention to the feeling of the breath.

4:59Let it settle into a natural rhythm, effortless and easy.

5:20Notice how good it feels just to breathe.

5:36With each inhale, let your body fill up with new life.

5:46With each exhale, release and let your body relax.

6:13Now, gently bring your attention to your emotions.

6:28Just noticing the feelings that you brought with you today.

6:47Not engaging with the emotions.

6:52Just noticing them as an observer.

7:11Remember that you can leave those feelings right where they are.

7:24Just allow those thoughts to bubble up and out.

7:48Remember, today is a new day with new opportunities.

7:57God is working in your life.

8:13Take this verse with you: "You know the Spirit who is with you and will keep on living in you." When it feels natural, bring your awareness back to the

8:46room.

8:47Just noticing the room with a gentle appreciation.

8:53And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:00Take a moment to notice how you feel.

9:04I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:07We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
