0:00Maybe your life's in a rut right now.

0:05Or maybe you aren't where you thought you would be.

0:10When that happens, it's easy to slip into autopilot.

0:15The days pass and nothing changes.

0:21It's natural to feel this way, but the truth is, while you may not be where you want to be, it is where you are.

0:35Life is a journey.

0:37There's a deeper meaning and purpose to be found right where you are.

0:45Okay.

0:47Let's begin by taking a few seconds to consciously relax the body.

0:59And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:08Now, take a moment to consider this verse.

1:15"The Lord your God will fight alongside you and help you win the battle." And again, "The Lord your God will fight alongside you and help you win the battle."

1:53Gently bring your awareness to any sensations you're feeling, just noticing the sensations on the body.

2:14Maybe it's the air on the skin or the weight of the body in the chair.

2:27Just noticing and welcoming these sensations as part of the meditation.

2:43Notice the rise and the fall of the chest as you breathe.

2:59Follow the breath and notice how it changes your body, the inhales expanding the body and filling it up with life, and the exhales relaxing the body, letting go.

3:35Follow the breath as it comes in through the nose and then goes back out through the mouth.

3:53You don't have to do anything.

3:57It's natural and effortless, and your body knows how to relax.

4:08You are simply unearthing the calm that was already there.

4:20This is a safe place of love and deep rest.

4:35Allow your mind to take refuge in God.

4:57When it feels comfortable, go ahead and take a few deep breaths in, nice and easy.

5:21Let the breath settle and become natural, and bring your attention to the space in the room, not thinking too hard about it, just becoming aware of your body and

5:43your surroundings.

5:55Feel the chair beneath you.

6:00Pay attention to the position of your body.

6:05Make sure that you're comfortable.

6:20Notice the state of your mind.

6:26Does the mind feel calm?

6:29Does it feel restless?

6:33Both are okay.

6:47Just a simple, easy noticing.

7:03Just noticing the space, almost like you're an observer.

7:22Notice the gentle sound of your breath coming in and going out, deepening the inhales and extending the exhales, letting the body rest.

8:07Just relax.

8:23Take this verse with you, "The Lord your God will fight alongside you and help you win the battle." When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the

8:56breath and allow your eyes to open.

9:01Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

9:11Notice how you feel.

9:16I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:20We'll see you again tomorrow with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
