0:00Our minds are filled with so many thoughts in a day.
0:05It's no wonder we are always stressed out.
0:09Today, as you meditate, focus on letting go.
0:15The thoughts will come, but you don't have to hold onto them.
0:20Let your thoughts pass through you.
0:24Allow your spirit to rest.
0:29Okay.
0:31Let's begin by getting comfortable and taking a few nice, deep breaths.
0:41As you begin to feel your body releasing, allow your eyes to slowly close.
0:54Take a moment to consider this verse: "You are my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, and I am your God." And again, "You are my sheep, the sheep of
1:20my pasture, and I am your God." Bring your attention to any tightness in the body.
1:47Just noticing how the body feels.
1:59Start by relaxing the hands, letting go of any tension in the hands.
2:15Allow the arms to totally relax, letting go at the elbows and the wrists.
2:31Let the shoulders fall away from the ears.
2:44Let the legs become heavy.
2:54Allow the muscles to completely let go.
3:08Let your body totally relax and release.
3:23And now, if it feels comfortable, take a big, deep breath, letting the air fill up the body.
3:39Feel the chest rise on the inhale and fall on the exhale.
3:56Notice how the breath changes the way the body feels.
4:13And now, for a moment or two, let go of any focus, and just allow yourself to be.
4:43Now, let's take some nice, deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
5:06Just noticing and observing the breath, watching the rise and the fall of the chest.
5:30Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.
5:49Begin to notice any feelings you may have brought with you today.
6:07Thoughts are a natural part of meditation.
6:14Just leave those feelings right where they are, and then gently come back to the feeling of the breath.
6:39Long, deep inhale, then a slow controlled exhale.
6:56Allow the breath to calm the mind and relax the body.
7:11And now, allow your awareness to fall and move inward, finding that place where you feel loved.
7:33Feel that natural peace in God's presence.
7:47Remember, when you come near to God, He will come near to you.
8:09Take this verse with you: "You are my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, and I am your God." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of your breath.
8:42Listen to the sound of your breathing.
8:46And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take another deep breath in.
8:56Give yourself a stretch and sit back and relax.
9:01Remember to take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.
9:09I hope you feel better.
9:11Take care, and we'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
