0:00One of the hard facts of life is that people will frequently disappoint you.

0:07It could be a loved one, or maybe it's a coworker who just seems determined to undermine you.

0:15When this happens, it's so easy to get frustrated and hold onto anger or pain.

0:23A simple way to let go of these feelings is to view everyone as a teacher.

0:30Whether your interaction with a person is positive or negative, they're teaching you something and giving you the opportunity to grow.

0:43Let's begin by loosening the shoulders and the chest.

0:51And when you feel ready, just allow the eyes to slowly close.

1:02Take a moment to consider this verse: "Trust in the Lord and do good." And again, "Trust in the Lord and do good." Let's begin to take note of how

1:45the body is feeling.

1:52Not really thinking too much about it, just letting go of those feelings of tightness and tension.

2:11When it feels comfortable, take a few deep breaths.

2:28In through the nose and out through the mouth.

2:42Deep breath in, expanding the body and filling the chest up.

2:51And exhale, feeling the chest fall and let go.

3:06Take another big, deep breath in, and control the exhale, letting it take twice as long as the inhale.

3:23With each breath, allow the tension to melt away from the body.

3:42Now, allow your breath to take up a natural rhythm.

3:52Let the gentle sound of your breathing relax your mind.

4:10There is no way to do this wrong, just an easy, effortless awareness.

4:25Letting go.

4:44When it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths in.

5:03Really making a point to expand the body and expand the chest.

5:21Notice how the breath makes you feel.

5:39Now let the breath begin to settle.

5:48As your breath begins to settle, allow the body to become heavy.

6:04Notice any sensations in the body.

6:09See if you're holding onto any tension.

6:18Maybe the body is tight or maybe it's not.

6:24Either is okay.

6:35You're just scanning the body, looking for any areas of tightness, and letting them release.

6:58And if the mind drifts away in thought, slowly bring it back to the feelings in the body and the breath.

7:16Your body knows how to relax.

7:32You don't have to think about it for it to happen.

7:36You are simply uncovering the calm that was always present.

7:54Let your awareness rest in the arms of God.

8:12Take this verse with you, "Trust in the Lord and do good." Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the body, maybe even move your fingers and toes a

8:46little bit.

8:47When it feels natural, allow your eyes to slowly open.

8:54Take another big, deep breath in and let it out with a sigh.

9:01Notice how you feel.

9:03I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:07We'll see you again tomorrow with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
