0:00One of the hard truths of life is that lasting peace cannot be found with unforgiveness in our hearts.

0:10Anger and resentment have a way of weighing down our hearts.

0:17That anger may be justified, but as long as you personally hold onto it, you'll never be able to truly let go.

0:29As you meditate today, allow God to work on your heart so that you can find peace.

0:40Okay, let's get started by allowing the body to relax.

0:48And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

0:59Take a moment to consider this verse: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

1:10He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." And again, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

1:28He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." Now, bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

2:01Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them with an easy curiosity.

2:25Now, take a few deep breaths and allow the body to relax a little more with each exhale.

2:46With each passing thought, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

3:06Now, begin to deepen the breath.

3:17Inhale slowly and lengthen the breath, and then exhale, letting go of the breath.

3:35And then right back into the next inhale.

3:43Slow it down and make it deep.

3:53And then exhale.

3:55Let the body relax.

4:13Now, allow your breath to settle and let your mind settle with it.

4:31Give yourself space just to be who you are, a child of God.

4:56Keeping your eyes closed, bring your awareness to the space around the room.

5:17Just noticing the sounds in the room and the sensations on the body.

5:34Welcome these sensations as part of the practice.

5:55When it feels comfortable, take some nice deep breaths.

6:09Real easy, deep breaths.

6:32Now begin to slow down the inhale.

6:40Long, slow, deep inhalation.

6:46And then let the breath out and relax.

6:54Again, take another long, slow, deep breath in, filling up the body, and then let the exhale come naturally.

7:15With each breath, let your mind relax.

7:34Allow your feelings to release and become a prayer to God.

7:50Now, for a few moments, let go of the focused attention and let your awareness rest.

8:03You are loved.

8:19Take this verse with you: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

8:29He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

8:47Softly begin to bring your awareness back to the body, back to that feeling of weight in the body.

8:58And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take a big, deep breath in.

9:08Take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.

9:13I hope you feel a little more present.

9:17We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.

9:23Take care.
