0:00When you live in a constant state of wanting, it can be really frustrating.

0:08Desires and needs are a natural part of life.

0:13The modern world is constantly pulling our attention to want more.

0:20It's okay to want more, but we all have to make peace with where we are now.

0:28Try to let go and accept where you are, but trust that God is at work in your life.

0:39Okay, let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.

0:47And when you're ready, take a few nice, deep breaths and allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:04Now, take a moment to consider this verse: "I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring about the future you hope for." And again, "I alone

1:31know the plans I have for you, plans to bring about the future you hope for." Now, consciously begin to relax your muscles.

2:07Feel the weight of gravity on your body as the chair holds you up.

2:26Begin to notice how the body feels.

2:41Just scanning the body from the head down to the toes, consciously relaxing any areas of tightness or tension.

3:09Take a few big, deep breaths in.

3:19Notice how the breath changes the body.

3:30Just relaxing and releasing, allowing your body to totally let go.

3:46If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

3:54Thoughts are a normal part of meditation.

3:59You aren't holding on to the thoughts or the feelings, you're just allowing them to bubble up and out.

4:13You're releasing those thoughts to God.

4:29Now, for a moment or two, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

4:58Now, bring your attention to the way the breath feels, and take a few deep breaths.

5:17Gently expand the chest on the inhale, and then let the body soften on the exhale.

5:43With each breath, there's new life entering the body.

6:03As you breathe, begin to soften the body, starting at the top of the head.

6:20Allow the shoulders to fall away from the ears.

6:31Now, gently bring your awareness to the space around the body.

6:50Feel the air on the skin.

7:00Notice the temperature of the air.

7:20And now, gently move your awareness to the heartbeat.

7:38Allow the rhythm of the heartbeat to relax the body.

7:57Let your awareness rest deeper in the presence of God.

8:08Simply let go.

8:24Take this verse with you, "I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring about the future you hope for." Gently bring your awareness back to the

8:55body, and when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.

9:08Sit back and relax for a moment.

9:12How do you feel?

9:16I hope you feel a little better.

9:19We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
