0:01Your thoughts and emotions will define your experience.
0:08If your experience of life is negative, it's okay.
0:14Try to begin to accept your experience as it is.
0:20Let your soul settle into God's arms.
0:25Over time, your spirit will learn to rest and trust God's plan for your life.
0:33Today, as you meditate, allow your spirit to rest.
0:41Okay.
0:42Let's get started by allowing the body to relax.
0:51And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.
1:01Now take a moment to consider this verse: We are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God's perfect plan.
1:27And again, we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God's perfect plan.
1:56Now, bring your awareness to the space around the body, not really examining it, just noticing the space with an easy curiosity.
2:27Notice any sensations on the skin.
2:35Feel the clothes on the skin.
2:45Feel the temperature of the room.
2:53Listen to the sounds in the room.
3:02Just a nice, easy focus on the sounds in the room.
3:23Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.
3:31Notice the rise and the fall of the chest.
3:48Maybe the breath is shallow, or maybe it's deep.
3:55Both are okay.
3:59Just follow the breath as it moves through your body.
4:15Let the rhythm of your breath relax your mind.
4:33This is a safe place.
4:38God is watching over you.
4:59With ease, bring your attention to the breath.
5:17Take a few nice, deep breaths.
5:25Make them feel easy and effortless.
5:47Feel life enter your body as you breathe in, and then release your tension as you breathe out.
6:17Inhale.
6:19Feel how the body expands.
6:24Then slowly exhale, feeling the body fall.
6:43Feel the air as it travels in through the nose, and follow the air back out through the mouth.
7:04Allow each breath to soften the chest and relax the shoulders.
7:14Begin to scan the body from the head to the toe, relaxing the body piece by piece.
7:31There's no way to do this wrong.
7:48And now, for a few moments, allow your mind to do what it wants to do.
8:00If it wants to think, then let it think.
8:06And if it wants to rest, then let it rest.
8:25Take this verse with you: "We are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God's perfect plan." When you feel ready, slowly bring
8:58your awareness back to the breath and allow your eyes to open.
9:06Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
9:16Notice how you feel.
9:21I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:25We'll see you again tomorrow with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
