0:01Meditation is more than just being alone and seeking isolation from the world.

0:08It's a place where you can give God access to your heart.

0:13It's an opportunity to recharge in the presence of your Creator, who loves you.

0:23Let's start by taking a few nice, deep breaths.

0:32As your breath begins to relax your body, allow your eyes to close, like the sun sets.

0:45Take a moment to consider this verse: "The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone." And again, "The Word gave life to

1:13everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone." When it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths in, really making a point to expand the body

1:53and expand the chest.

2:03Notice how the breath makes you feel.

2:17Now let the breath begin to settle.

2:25As your breath begins to settle, allow the body to become heavy.

2:41Notice any sensations in the body.

2:46See if you're holding on to any tension.

2:55Maybe the body is tight, or maybe it's not.

3:01Either is okay.

3:11You're just scanning the body, looking for any areas of tightness and letting them release.

3:27And if the mind drifts away in thought, slowly bring it back to the feelings in the body and the breath.

3:47Your body knows how to relax.

3:58You don't have to think about it for it to happen.

4:03You are simply uncovering the calm that was always present.

4:18Let your awareness rest in the arms of God.

4:37Now, bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

4:52Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them with an easy curiosity.

5:18Now take a few deep breaths and allow the body to relax a little more with each exhale.

5:44With each passing thought, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

6:07Now, begin to deepen the breath.

6:27Inhale slowly and lengthen the breath, and then exhale, letting go of the breath.

6:45And then right back into the next inhale.

6:53Slow it down and make it deep.

7:03And then exhale.

7:05Let the body relax.

7:21Now, allow your breath to settle, and let your mind settle with it.

7:43Give yourself space just to be who you are, a child of God.

8:05Take this verse with you, "The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone." When it feels easy, bring your attention back to

8:38the feeling of the breath.

8:41Take a few more deep breaths and slowly allow your eyes to open.

8:50Notice how the breath changes the way you feel.

8:54I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

8:58We'll see you again tomorrow.

9:01Take care of yourself.
