0:01A simple thing that can make a world of difference in your life is remembering that the present moment is where God is found.

0:11As you rest into this meditation, feel God's presence rest with you.

0:21Okay.

0:22Let's begin by getting comfortable, taking a few nice, big, deep breaths.

0:35And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.

0:45Now take a moment to consider this verse.

0:51"The Lord God is my strength and my song." And again, "The Lord God is my strength and my song." Now, bring your attention to the way the breath feels

1:31and take a few deep breaths.

1:44Gently expand the chest on the inhale, and then let the body soften on the exhale.

2:04With each breath, there's new life entering the body.

2:20As you breathe, begin to soften the body, starting at the top of the head.

2:34Allow the shoulders to fall away from the ears.

2:46Feel gravity push the body down into the chair.

2:58Now, gently bring your awareness to the space around the body.

3:12Feel the air on the skin.

3:20Notice the temperature of the air.

3:34And now, gently move your awareness to the heartbeat.

3:49Allow the rhythm of the heartbeat to relax the body.

4:01Let your awareness rest deeper in the presence of God.

4:12Simply let go.

4:29Now, consciously begin to relax your muscles.

4:44Begin to notice how the body feels.

5:00Just scanning the body from the head down to the toes.

5:20Consciously relaxing any areas of tightness or tension.

5:50Take a few big, deep breaths in.

6:07Notice how the breath changes the body.

6:24Just relaxing and releasing, allowing your body to totally let go.

6:48If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

6:54Thoughts are a normal part of meditation.

6:59You aren't holding onto the thoughts or the feelings.

7:04You're just allowing them to bubble up and out.

7:15You're releasing those thoughts to God.

7:31Now, for a moment or two, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

7:54Take this verse with you, "The Lord God is my strength and my song." Slowly bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, allow your eyes

8:28to open.

8:32Take a moment to notice how your body feels.

8:38I hope you feel a little better.

8:42We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.

8:48Remember, be easy with yourself.
