0:00We all need a refuge, a safe place to escape the storms of life.

0:08God tells us that He is our refuge.

0:13He is our help and our relief.

0:17Whenever life becomes heavy, seek refuge in the love of Jesus.

0:24Allow that message to rest with you as you work your way through this meditation.

0:33Let's begin by loosening the shoulders and the chest.

0:41And when you feel ready, just allow the eyes to slowly close.

0:52Take a moment to consider this verse, "For in the day of trouble, He will keep me safe in His dwellings." And again, "For in the day of trouble, He

1:16will keep me safe in His dwellings." As you relax, allow God's presence of peace to wash over you.

1:51Let your breath fill your body and relax your muscles.

2:07As your breath relaxes your body, bring your attention to the heartbeat.

2:26Just noticing the quiet rhythm of your heartbeat.

2:40Allow that rhythm and stillness to calm your mind, to relax your body.

3:00Let go of any feelings of stress or worry.

3:16God is taking care of you.

3:30Allow those feelings to go.

3:38You are safe here.

3:49And if thoughts take you away, that's okay.

3:55Be easy with the thoughts.

4:00Just remember, you can always come back to the breath and the heartbeat.

4:19Let yourself relax and allow God to speak to your heart.

4:41Keeping your eyes closed, bring your awareness to the space around the room.

4:58Just noticing the sounds in the room and the sensations on the body.

5:08Welcome these sensations as part of the practice.

5:32When it feels comfortable, take some nice deep breaths.

5:47Real easy, deep breaths.

6:07Now begin to slow down the inhale.

6:17Long, slow, deep inhalation, and then let the breath out, and relax.

6:35Again, take another long, slow, deep breath in, filling up the body, and then let the exhale come naturally.

6:58With each breath, let your mind relax.

7:17Allow your feelings to release and become a prayer to God.

7:35Now, for a few moments, let go of the focused attention and let your awareness rest.

7:48You are loved.

8:04Take this verse with you.

8:07"For in the day of trouble, He will keep me safe in His dwellings." Slowly bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, allow your eyes

8:36to open.

8:39Take a moment to notice how your body feels.

8:45I hope you feel a little better.

8:49We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.

8:56Remember, be easy with yourself.
