0:01God knows you by name.

0:03That's incredible when you think about it.

0:06God, who is not encumbered by the constraints of time or space, knows you by name, and knows everything about you.

0:18As you meditate today, ask God to open up your heart to feel His presence.

0:27Okay.

0:28Let's begin by consciously relaxing the body.

0:35And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.

0:45As your body begins to settle, take a moment to consider this verse: He called you out of darkness to experience His marvelous light, and now He claims you as

1:03His very own.

1:13And again, He called you out of darkness to experience His marvelous light, and now He claims you as His very own.

1:42Gently bring your awareness to any sensations you're feeling, just noticing the sensations on the body.

2:02Maybe it's the air on the skin or the weight of the body in the chair, just noticing and welcoming these sensations as part of the meditation.

2:31Notice the rise and the fall of the chest as you breathe.

2:47Follow the breath and notice how it changes your body, the inhales expanding the body and filling it up with life, and the exhales relaxing the body, letting go.

3:24Follow the breath as it comes in through the nose and then goes back out through the mouth.

3:42You don't have to do anything.

3:46It's natural and effortless.

3:50Your body knows how to relax.

3:56You are simply unearthing the calm that was already there.

4:09This is a safe place of love and deep rest.

4:23Allow your mind to take refuge in God.

4:46When it feels comfortable, go ahead and take a few deep breaths in, nice and easy.

5:10Let the breaths settle and become natural, and bring your attention to the space in the room, not thinking too hard about it, just becoming aware of your body and

5:32your surroundings.

5:44Feel the chair beneath you.

5:49Pay attention to the position of your body.

5:54Make sure that you're comfortable.

6:09Notice the state of your mind.

6:15Does the mind feel calm?

6:18Does it feel restless?

6:22Both are okay.

6:35Just a simple, easy noticing.

6:51Just noticing the space, almost like you're an observer.

7:11Notice the gentle sound of your breath coming in and going out, deepening the inhales and extending the exhales, letting the body rest.

7:56Just relax.

8:11Take this verse with you.

8:15He called you out of darkness to experience His marvelous light, and now He claims you as His very own.

8:39When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the breath and allow your eyes to open.

8:51Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

9:01Notice how you feel.

9:06I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:11We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
