0:00Meditation is not about moving away from your life to some other reality.

0:06It's about accepting your life as it is, and embracing your life fully.

0:14It's about accepting both the good and the bad and coming to peace with it.

0:22Okay, let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.

0:30And when you're ready, take a few nice, deep breaths, and allow your eyes to slowly close.

0:46Now, take a moment to consider this verse: "In this world, you will have troubles.

0:56But be brave, I have defeated the world." And again, "In this world, you will have troubles.

1:14But be brave, I have defeated the world." Bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

1:48Not engaging with your feelings, just noticing them.

2:03Almost like you're observing your emotions, and then letting them go.

2:15Just like loosening your grip, you're letting go of those feelings.

2:34Let God handle whatever is out of your control.

2:47This is a place of acceptance and safety.

2:55You can always find rest in God.

3:06Now, begin to notice how your body feels.

3:16When it feels comfortable, begin to consciously relax the body.

3:30Scanning down, from your head to your toes, release any areas of tension in the body.

3:50Surrender all of your stress and all of your responsibilities, and just let your mind rest.

4:15You are safe.

4:18God is looking out for you.

4:37Now, gently bring your awareness to the breath.

4:45Allow your breath to deepen and fill the lungs.

4:59Big, deep breath in, and then taking twice as long on the exhale.

5:19Let the inhale come easily and effortlessly, and then exhale, controlling the breath.

5:47Allow yourself to be here in this moment.

5:58This is all that matters right now.

6:06Whatever you need to let go of, let it go.

6:14Release it to God.

6:28Today is a new day, with new opportunities.

6:37Allow your breath to renew your spirit and connect you to your creator, who loves you.

6:55Deep breath, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

7:15Remember, this is a place of love.

7:21Let this practice be whatever you need it to be.

7:27God's calming presence is always accessible to you.

7:45Let your awareness rest in the loving presence of God.

8:04Take this verse with you: "In this world, you will have troubles.

8:12But be brave.

8:15I have defeated the world." Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.

8:46Sit back and relax for a moment.

8:50How do you feel?

8:53I hope you feel a little better.

8:57We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
