0:01The present moment is where God lives.

0:06When asked his name, God refers to himself only in the present tense.

0:13He says, "My name is I Am." Not, "I Was," or, "I Will Be," but "I Am." When we meditate, we focus on the present moment, because that's where God

0:30is.

0:32That is the only place where we can find His peace.

0:39Okay, let's begin by getting comfortable and taking a few deep breaths.

0:51As you begin to feel your body releasing, allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:03Now, take a moment to consider this verse.

1:09"This is the very day of the Lord that brings gladness and joy." And again, "This is the very day of the Lord that brings gladness and joy." Bring your

1:46attention to any tightness in the body.

1:54Just noticing how the body feels.

2:06Start by relaxing the hands, letting go of any tension in the hands.

2:22Allow the arms to totally relax, letting go at the elbows and the wrists.

2:37Let the shoulders fall away from the ears.

2:51Let the legs become heavy.

3:01Allow the muscles to completely let go.

3:15Let your body totally relax and release.

3:30And now, if it feels comfortable, take a big deep breath, letting the air fill up the body.

3:46Feel the chest rise on the inhale, and fall on the exhale.

4:03Notice how the breath changes the way the body feels.

4:21And now, for a moment or two, let go of any focus, and just allow yourself to be.

4:50Now, let's take some nice deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

5:13Just noticing and observing the breath, watching the rise and the fall of the chest.

5:37Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.

5:57Begin to notice any feelings you may have brought with you today.

6:14Thoughts are a natural part of meditation.

6:22Just leave those feelings right where they are, and then gently come back to the feeling of the breath.

6:46Long, deep inhale, then a slow, controlled exhale.

7:04Allow the breath to calm the mind and relax the body.

7:18And now, allow your awareness to fall and move inward, finding that place where you feel loved.

7:40Feel that natural peace in God's presence.

7:54Remember, when you come near to God, He will come near to you.

8:16Take this verse with you, "This is the very day of the Lord that brings gladness and joy." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of your breath.

8:45Listen to the sound of your breathing.

8:50And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take another deep breath in.

9:00Give yourself a stretch and sit back and relax.

9:04Remember to take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.

9:12I hope you feel better.

9:15Take care, and we'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
