0:01When you're young, it seems that there are certain people that have a golden hand, who lead charmed lives which may be totally different from the life you were given.

0:14Now, this may seem unfair, but as you get older, you begin to realize everyone suffers.

0:23Life is a journey, and everyone will face adversity sooner or later.

0:30This is the nature of life.

0:33It's meant to bring you closer to God and to make you more like Jesus.

0:40Embrace life as it is, and not as you wish it to be.

0:46There's an eternal purpose to every storm.

0:52Okay.

0:54Let's get started by allowing the body to relax.

1:03And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

1:13Now take a moment to consider this verse.

1:20God shows no favoritism.

1:30And again, God shows no favoritism.

1:49Gradually, and with ease, bring your awareness to rest on your breath.

2:03Feel the body rise with each inhale, and then allow your awareness to rest in a little more with each exhale.

2:27Notice how with each breath, the body feels a little calmer.

2:45Begin to notice the space around the body.

2:55Feel the contact of the body on the chair, and your feet on the floor.

3:09When you feel comfortable, begin to scan the entire body to build up a picture of what the body feels like.

3:23Piece by piece, release any areas of tension.

3:33Let go of your stress.

3:36Let go of your anxiety.

3:42You are exactly where you're meant to be.

3:55Allow that natural rhythm of the breath to relax you.

4:12Let your breath guide you to a place of safety in the presence of God.

4:31You are accepted here.

4:35You are loved.

4:49With ease, bring your attention to the breath.

5:02Take a few nice, deep breaths.

5:11Make them feel easy and effortless.

5:28Feel life enter your body as you breathe in, and then release your tension as you breathe out.

5:54Inhale.

5:57Feel how the body expands.

6:01Then slowly exhale.

6:06Feeling the body fall.

6:22Feel the air as it travels in through the nose, and follow the air back out through the mouth.

6:42Allow each breath to soften the chest and relax the shoulders.

7:00Begin to scan the body from the head to the toe, relaxing the body piece by piece.

7:25There's no way to do this wrong.

7:40And now, for a few moments, allow your mind to do what it wants to do.

7:53If it wants to think, then let it think.

8:00And if it wants to rest, then let it rest.

8:19Take this verse with you: God shows no favoritism.

8:38When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the breath and allow your eyes to open.

8:50Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

9:01Notice how you feel.

9:06I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:10We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
