0:01Rest is holy, because it allows us to reconnect with God and with ourselves.

0:09It's a place where we can let go and stop striving, a place where we can feel our soul come to life again.

0:19It heals our mind, body, and spirit.

0:23Taking this time to meditate today, you're feeding your soul and spirit with the peace that comes from God.

0:35Okay.

0:36Let's begin by getting comfortable.

0:42Take a few nice big, deep breaths.

0:49And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:00Take a moment to consider this verse: You should know that you yourselves are God's temple.

1:11God's spirit lives in you.

1:22And again: You should know that you yourselves are God's temple.

1:30God's spirit lives in you.

1:47As you relax, allow God's presence of peace to wash over you.

2:05Let your breath fill your body and relax your muscles.

2:21As your breath relaxes your body, bring your attention to the heartbeat.

2:40Just noticing the quiet rhythm of your heartbeat.

2:53Allow that rhythm and stillness to calm your mind, to relax your body.

3:13Let go of any feelings of stress or worry.

3:29God is taking care of you.

3:44Allow those feelings to go.

3:52You are safe here.

4:03And if thoughts take you away, that's okay.

4:09Be easy with the thoughts.

4:14Just remember, you can always come back to the breath and the heartbeat.

4:32Let yourself relax and allow God to speak to your heart.

4:50When it feels comfortable, take a few nice deep breaths in, really making a point to expand the body and expand the chest.

5:20Notice how the breath makes you feel.

5:35Now let the breath begin to settle.

5:48As your breath begins to settle, allow the body to become heavy.

6:06Notice any sensations in the body.

6:11See if you're holding onto any tension.

6:25Maybe the body is tight or maybe it's not.

6:32Either is okay.

6:47You're just scanning the body, looking for any areas of tightness, and letting them release.

7:06And if the mind drifts away in thought, slowly bring it back to the feelings in the body and the breath.

7:26Your body knows how to relax.

7:37You don't have to think about it for it to happen.

7:42You are simply uncovering the calm that was always present.

7:58Let your awareness rest in the arms of God.

8:17Take this verse with you, "You should know that you yourselves are God's temple.

8:28God's Spirit lives in you." Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the body, maybe even move your fingers and toes a little bit.

8:56When it feels natural, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:03Take another big, deep breath in and let it out with a sigh.

9:10Notice how you feel.

9:12I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:15We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
