0:00Today is an ideal day to begin something good.

0:06Every good thing has a beginning.

0:10Today could be a beginning for you.

0:14You can begin a practice of gratitude today.

0:19You can make a conscious effort to find the good in everyone and everything.

0:26If you search for good, you'll find it.

0:34Okay.

0:36Let's begin by taking a few seconds to consciously relax the body.

0:48And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.

0:57Now take a moment to consider this verse: This is the day that the Lord has made, let us be full of joy and be glad in it.

1:20Again, this is the day that the Lord has made, let us be full of joy and be glad in it.

1:44Now, let's take some nice deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

2:04Just noticing and observing the breath.

2:10Watching the rise and the fall of the chest.

2:24Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.

2:36Begin to notice any feelings you may have brought with you today.

2:50Thoughts are a natural part of meditation.

2:58Just leave those feelings right where they are, and then gently come back to the feeling of the breath.

3:18Long, deep inhale, then a slow controlled exhale.

3:34Allow the breath to calm the mind and relax the body.

3:52And now, allow your awareness to fall and move inward, finding that place where you feel loved.

4:12Feel that natural peace in God's presence.

4:24Remember, when you come near to God, He will come near to you.

4:48Bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

5:04Not engaging with your feelings, just noticing them.

5:20Almost like you're observing your emotions, and then letting them go.

5:30Just like loosening your grip, you're letting go of those feelings.

6:00Let God handle whatever is out of your control.

6:16This is a place of acceptance and safety.

6:24You can always find rest in God.

6:40Now, begin to notice how your body feels.

6:52When it feels comfortable, begin to consciously relax the body.

7:10Scanning down from your head to your toes, release any areas of tension in the body.

7:30Surrender all of your stress and all of your responsibilities, and just let your mind rest.

7:55You are safe.

7:58God is looking out for you.

8:14Take this verse with you, "This is the day that the Lord has made.

8:22Let us be full of joy and be glad in it." When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the breath and allow your eyes to open.

8:50Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

9:00Notice how you feel.

9:05I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:09We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
