0:01You know, when we think about the people we most respect, oftentimes they're the people with patience.

0:09When people are patient, we assume that they're kind and wise, and in many cases, they are.

0:19But the thing about patience is that it isn't something you magically get.

0:25Patience is something that has to be learned on the job.

0:30It's something you learn how to do when you're frustrated.

0:36Think about that today when you're at your most frustrated.

0:41Just remember, you're learning to be patient.

0:48Okay.

0:49Let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.

0:58And when you're ready, take a few nice deep breaths, and allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:14As your body begins to settle, take a moment to consider this verse.

1:21"For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him." And again.

1:42"For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him." Now, gently bring your awareness to the breath.

2:14Allow your breath to deepen and fill the lungs.

2:24Big, deep breath in, and then taking twice as long on the exhale.

2:38Let the inhale come easily and effortlessly, and then exhale, controlling the breath.

2:55Allow yourself to be here in this moment.

3:05This is all that matters right now.

3:13Whenever you need to let go of, let it go.

3:20Release it to God.

3:32Today is a new day, with new opportunities.

3:46Allow your breath to renew your spirit and connect you to your Creator, who loves you.

4:04Deep breath, in through the nose, and out through the mouth.

4:20Remember, this is a place of love.

4:26Let this practice be whatever you need it to be.

4:32God's calming presence is always accessible to you.

4:45Let your awareness rest in the loving presence of God.

5:06With a gentle curiosity, begin to notice the breath.

5:24Make the breath deep and full of life.

5:30Allow that fresh air to fill up the lungs, and then relax the body as you exhale.

5:55Let your body become heavy as your mind continues to relax.

6:04You are exactly where you need to be.

6:21And now, come to the heartbeat.

6:27Maybe even listen for its rhythm.

6:43Just relaxing and releasing.

7:02If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

7:09When it's easy, bring your awareness back to the heartbeat.

7:27Just listen to your heartbeat and the gentle sound of your breath.

7:50Let your breath act as an anchor to this moment and this practice.

8:11With each breath, allow yourself to rest further into the calm of God's love.

8:36Take this verse with you, for God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.

9:02Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.

9:18Sit back and relax for a moment.

9:22How do you feel?

9:26I hope you feel a little better.

9:29We'll see you next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
